Exploring Harrogate
Attending the woodworking show at Yorkshire Event Centre puts you just a short drive or stroll away from the spa town of Harrogate.
Things to see
Just a 10-minute drive or 15-minute walk from the Showground, Valley Gardens is a Grade II-listed public space with immaculate lawns, ponds, and seasonal flowerbeds. It’s an ideal spot for a peaceful break between workshops.
Opposite the park sits the Royal Pump Room Museum, housed in a striking 19th-century rotunda. Once renowned for Europe’s strongest sulphur wells, it now showcases Harrogate’s spa history and even ancient artefacts.
Step into Victorian luxury at Turkish Baths Harrogate (aka Royal Baths). Built in 1897, this spa features steam rooms, hot marble slabs, and a plunge pool – the ultimate in relaxation.
Tea & Coffee Spots
Bettys Café Tea Rooms – A Harrogate institution since 1919, Bettys Café Tea Rooms is known for elegant afternoon teas, traditional Swiss-inspired pastries, and next-level service.
If Bettys is busy, try Kitchen And Koffee or Caffè Massarella, both highly rated by local visitors for quality breakfasts, artisanal coffee, and a relaxed atmosphere.
